PJ's vet visit

PJ got to visit Dr. Fix on Friday morning. Here's some pictures of his adventure.

PJ with his carrier open. We put a leash on him so that he could look around. Since he was the only animal in the clinic waiting area, we knew we wouldn't have any problems except that he might get too curious.

There are shelves of prescription diet food at the vet that PJ found very interesting because there are plenty of nooks and crannies and places to climb on. Here, he's pouting because he's mad at me. I wouldn't let him climb on the bags of food.

Taking a rest on an empty shelf section.

And getting ready to sniff around again.

He was pretty well behaved at the vet. He let them do the EKG, which is something Scout hasn't let them do in about five years. He meowed and shed some fur, but otherwise, no yelling, biting, or clawing.

That didn't mean he wasn't ready to retreat into the carrier after they were done poking and prodding him. Here's a picture of him through one of the side vent holes of the carrier.

Afterward, PJ got his reward for being so good: some wet food that Scout didn't get first dibs on.

The vet called us with PJ's results yesterday afternoon to give us the results of the blood tests. They said PJ was normal, which we have serious doubts about....

Yes, that's the PJ-man hanging out in the dryer.

Given his affection for "helping" out with the laundry (see blog for May 3), this should probably come as no surprise!
