Some sad news for today. Moss passed away last night. He was six years old, and we got him when he was just a baby-- the size of a half-dollar. So I guess six years is pretty good for a turtle when you get them as a baby. As far as turtles go, he was a pretty good one. He didn't make a lot of noise, didn't throw wild parties... We don't know why he died, but figure he was sick. The only thing is, it's really hard to tell if/when turtles are sick. So... anyway, we buried him under a pile of leaves under one of the bushes in the front. We put some of his rocks over him, and will eventually go back and retrieve his shell and keep that in the house.
Here is one of my favorite pictures of him.
