All in all, it was an okay week. Scout didn't get sick from any of his chemo, but he was starting to get finicky, so we decided to switch him from getting his appetite stimpulant only on his ears to giving him the pill in the morning and the ear stuff in the evening. It's worked good so far (just two days on this plan), as he's munching down on the food he was turning away from a couple of days ago. Only on chemo days will he get the stimulant on the ear twice a day, since it would be really hard to get him to swallow four pills at one time.
Katy's had kind of an up-and-down week. We switched her food to more of an oatmeal quality, so we were able to get her more fluids (she seemed really thirsty in the evenings), and put more food in each meal. The first couple of days, things seemed better, with less nighttime coughing, but that was about it. We had to move to the living room three days this week because of coughing and food reversals. So, today we got some high-calorie supplement for both her and Scout to put some weight on them. So far, Scout is not very fond of the stuff, but Katy likes it fine. It seems to be mostly corn syrup, which might be why Scout doesn't really like it: he's not a big fan of sweet things. I mixed up some with Katy's food for tomorrow, so I don't have to mess with the sticky stuff tomorrow. When I mixed it with Scout's food, he refused to eat it, so we will have to try something else.
