Katy Monday

Katy seems to be feeling a lot better this morning. She ate some food, but threw up some of it. We slowed down how fast she was getting fed (She is usually really hungry in the morning and can't wait to eat). We'll see how she does and take her in later if she needs to go.

Scout was rambuctious this morning, so he's feeling good.

9:45am

We talked to our regular vet about Katy, and he said the anti nausea shot they gave Katy at the emergency clinic shuts down the motility. He didn't know why they gave her that, and it makes no sense to us, either, because we told them first thing that she has megaesophagus, and even had the charts from the first two months of her diagnosis. He said to give her Cisapride and the nausea medicine because it helps motility and if she has trouble breathing bring her in.

Sooo, I had to call around today and get some refills and get vet to fax the fax that they got from the emergency clinic to the specialist so that I could get the Cisapride refilled. It should get here in a couple of days. We have some to get us through the week, but I don't know how long it will take to get things back on track for her. I'd rather be prepared.

5:00pm

We got a call from the oncologist's office, and we're not supposed to give Scout any food after midnight tonight. I have no idea why. We can give him his pill, which we may or may not do, because he is supposed to take the pill with food or water, and I'm just not sure that we can get him to drink water. We'll see in the morning.
