Rough Night for Katy

Katy had a rough night last night. She was coughing and throwing up right away from when put her in the kennel. The dogs had killed something in the yard, and Katy decided to make a before-bed snack out of it. We're not sure what their victim was, only that it had fur when it was alive. We only know that much, because that is all that was left when we got Katy away from it. It brought back memories from the time I found a rabbit's head in the yard. Just the head. At first, I thought it was a tennis ball, but when I picked it up, I realized it had long floppy ears, and surmised that a bunny had made the fatal mistake of invading our back yard. Well, last night, the dogs didn't leave us that much of a clue. Not that I wanted much more, anyway.

So Katy's system was all out of whack, and she threw up twice before we could even get the remains disposed of. We ended up moving the dogs to the living room before 10:30. Katy battled nausea, so we gave her a Zofran about midnight, and she was able to settle down enough to get some sleep. We gave her another Zofran before breakfast, and she did pretty good the rest of the day (so far).
