Here's a couple of pictures that I played around with in photoshop. You can click on them to see larger, more detailed versions.
The first one I made a couple of layers and applied a radial blur the one underneath as well as lightened it up so that Katy would stand out against a darker, busy background.
The second picture I used a palette knife filter so that the finished picture would look more like a painting of Scout taking a nap.
