Scout and Katy Update Noon Wednesday

Katy did not eat anything more before we left for work. She threw up after I left and we're wasn't sure if she threw up the pill or not. She seemed better after she threw up and wanted to go outside so Mama2 let them. When she came back in she seemed sick again so she gave a quarter pill of the anti-nausea medicine. Since then she has not thrown up but she has seemed alternating good and bad.

After I left, Scout still needed his second pill, which went surprisingly easy for the other Mama. The pill thing worked this time. We had tried using it last night, but Scout was in a boxing mood, and the kept knocking it out of my hand. It was really very comical, and we got a good laugh out of the whole situation. Afterward, Scout laid in the chair, but did not sleep and she was concerned. He went in the kitchen sniffed the food and laid down beside it. So of course Mama was concerned wondering if she should give him a nausea pill. He then went over to the towel in front of the sink and started sniffing it. He stood up on his back legs and sniffed as far up as he could and got underneath the towel. Other Mama then thought he was delirious. He then walked away ate some treats and ate quite a bit of wet food, maybe about a quarter of what was in his bowl.

Our animals are so strange.

At about 12:30, I opened another can of wet food for Scout and mixed in some duck he chowed down on it while I got some wet food ready for Katy. She had been puffing out her cheeks and wheezing a bit, which is what she does when she's nauseated. I put half an anti-nausea pill in one of the meatballs and fed that one to her first. She ate them ok, and didn't have any coughing. As of 1pm, she was sleeping on the sofa, which is good, because when the animals are nauseated, they can't sleep. So far today, there is no signs of throw-up on the floor, so everyone is keeping their food down.

Here is Scout napping this afternoon.

This is a picture of Katy from a couple of days ago.
