Katy started coughing this morning at 2:30. She only threw up twice, which is good, but she didn't stop coughing until 4:00, which is bad. I got a couple of hours of sleep, but before I knew it, it was time to get up for work. The dogs spent the day kenneled, which I'm sure was pretty boring for them, but it kept Katy from getting dehydrated, since it was pretty hot today, and she's been throwing up quite a bit lately. She also threw up some dirt (we think) this morning. Why she was eating dirt, I have no idea. Maybe she threw up and ate it back up. I dunno. Anyway, we wanted to limit their access to the back yard to quick PPPs.
FRIDAY UPDATE: We found out where the dirt was coming from. Katy had thrown up some food outside near the edge of the deck out back, and she was trying to eat it back up, and was getting some of the dirt along with the food. We washed away the food particles, so hopefully, that is the end of the dirt eating. Also, last night, Katy slept through the night (Yay!), which was nice, since on Thursday morning, she was up at 1:00am coughing and such.
Scout Pics
This is one of my favorite pictures of Scout. I used to give him baths, because, well, I was an idiot. That and someone had told me that if you give a kitten baths, then when they grow up, they won't mind a bath. (Which a complete and totall LIE, by the way.) Of course, he hated it, but especially so this time, because I made him wait while I got my camera, and added extra insult by putting some floaty ducks in the scene as well. He got back at me by drying off on my leather jacket later. I've got to admit that I deserved it. Below is a picture of him, a different time, post-bath.
