Well, it's Thursday, and so far, we haven't had to go to the vet for anyone. Woo Hoo!! (Knock on wood) We moved Katy back to her old kennel, and gave her the big dog pillow to sleep on:
It really looks soft and comfortable. I spread a towel over the top in case she has an episode, so we don't have to keep washing the pillows. She's got her tennis ball and her favorite regular pillow leaning up against the back. We also took away her bedtime Kong, which is something we really didn't want to do, since she really seemed to look forward to it. Instead, I give her a little ball of peanut butter, about the size of one of her meatballs, and in the middle there's a half of a Pepcid. Then, of course, she's got to sit for a few minutes to allow the peatnut butter ball to get down her esophagus. Since we've started this routine, she hasn't coughed during the night and only threw up once, a teeny, tiny bit. It has been her best week yet!
Here is Katy and Scout on the sofa. Together! Scout is armed with the water gun, so he's not too worried about the dogs bothering him.
