Good Night

After a rough start to the day yesterday with her breakfast, Katy had a great rest of the day, hardly coughing at all, and no throwing up. Last night was great, too. She slept leaning up against her pillow, instead of on it, so she was propped up and had a quiet night.

That is, until about 4:00 this morning, when the thunderstorm arrived, rescuing me from a dream of going to work in my underwear. (Ewwwwwwwwww!) Historically, Katy does not like thunderstorms. Or rain in general. But she really hates storms with the thunder and lightening. So I let her out of her kennel, and she quickly jumped up on the bed, where I'm guessing that the thunder couldn't get her. Max wouldn't get out of his kennel; he was probably worried that he would be forced to go outside in that weather. I don't blame him; it was pretty nasty stuff.

Actually, it was my intent to have them go outside, run around the house to the living room door and let them in over there to hang out in the living room while the storm passed, but I couldn't get Katy to budge from the bed. So we hung out in the bedroom, on the bed, and watched TV. Any thunder seemed to upset Katy, but not to the extent that she was getting nauseous. So the good news is that she made it almost all the way through the night without getting sick. And there is no bad news at all.
